Business Honors Program Benefits

Annual Scholarships

Automatic scholarships are awarded to Business Honors students meeting academic and participation requirements. (See the Scholarship tab for more details.)

Study Abroad Experience

In the winter of their fourth-year, Business Honors students can participate in an exclusive two-week study abroad trip. The trip is coupled with a class that meets the students’ global business course requirement. Immersing themselves in a new culture (or two!) and cementing bonds with their peers while learning how to navigate the environment is often the highlight of a student’s time at CSUF. In addition, this trip is subsidized by an automatic scholarship. (See the Study Abroad tab for more details.)

Priority Class Registration

Business Honors students receive priority registration for each academic term, ensuring they get into the classes they want.

Professional Development and Networking Opportunities

Business Honors students create professional and leadership development opportunities for each other. These opportunities include bringing in guest speakers from the business community, maintaining a database of internships and full-time positions, hosting events to connect with BH alumni, and offering career development workshops. This is one of the many ways that the Business Honors community comes together to support one another.

Personalized Advising and Graduation Support

Business Honors students have a dedicated advisor to help them build a structured roadmap of undergraduate classes and provide on-going support. When coupled with priority registration, this helps to facilitate graduation in four years.

Social Activities to Forge Lifelong Friendships

BH students work and play together. BH-only events, such as beach bonfires, game and movie nights, community service projects, and a formal banquet, help to forge strong friendships that last long after graduation. Building deep friendships is a challenge on a commuter campus, often requiring considerable effort. In BH, it happens naturally.

Dedicated Study and Socialization Space

BH students have access to an dedicated lounge in the business school, which can be used for studying and socialization.

Cohort-based Learning Model

Each incoming group of students forms a cohort. Students take their core business classes with their cohort, developing bonds and peer learning communities. These classes are taught by top-rated faculty who offer innovative learning experiences in smaller class settings.
