Business Tutoring Center

Welcome!

The Business Tutoring Center is a friendly and supportive learning environment operated by the College of Business and Economics.

The Business Tutoring Center offers free peer tutoring to support students' academic success! In-person tutoring is available Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Virtual tutoring hours are available Monday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

The Business Tutoring Center opens for the Fall 2026 semester on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. 

Virtual tutoring begins Monday, September 14, 2026.

Students can use the center as a quiet study spot whenever it is open, even without an appointment. The Business Tutoring Center offers plenty of tables, chairs, and outlets, as well as computers and a printer. Printing fees apply in the Business Tutoring Center using GoPrint.

The Business Tutoring Center is closed when the University is not in session or during campus holidays.

Location & Hours:

Location: SGMH 2404 (Second floor of the West Pavilion)

Center Hours: Monday - Thursday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

In-person tutoring begins Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

Virtual Hours: Monday - Thursday: 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. & Saturday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Virtual tutoring begins Monday, September 14, 2026.

Subjects we Support:

Accounting: ACCT 201A, ACCT 201B, ACCT 301A, ACCT 301B, ACCT 302

Business Administration: BUAD 201, BUAD 301

Economics: ECON 201, ECON 202, ECON 315, ECON 320, ECON 335

Finance: FIN 320

Information Systems: ISDS 210 (previously 361A), ISDS 310 (previously 361B)

Cancellation and  No-Show Policy: If students cannot make an appointment, they must cancel it ASAP via the Navigate app, Titan Net portal, or the link in the email confirmation. This allows other students to book this valuable service. If a student does not cancel, it counts as a "No Show". Three no-shows in one semester will result in loss of tutoring privileges for the term.

Make an Appointment

  • Appointments can be made through the Navigate app, Titan Net on the student portal, or the "Make an Appointment" link above. 
  • Select “Tutoring” as the service.
  • Choose the “Business Tutoring Center” for the location.
  • Pick the course.
  • Choose a date and time.
  • Note whether the appointment is in person (SGMH 2404) or over Zoom. 
  • Confirm the appointment.

Important Information

Tutoring subjects and appointment availability may vary each semester based on staffing. Regular center and tutoring hours begin the third week of each semester.

Students can schedule up to 2 hours of tutoring per week, to be distributed among the courses we support. Students can choose between 30-minute and 60-minute sessions and may have two sessions in one day if they are for different subjects. Students are also welcome to join us for quiet study when the Business Tutoring Center is open.
