Connect with a Business Advisor
Academic advising is an integral part of your undergraduate education. The College of Business and Economics advising center provides each student with the resources, guidance and support. Advisors will assist you with developing an educational plan, transfer course evaluations, declaring your concentration and helping you explore your academic interests. Undergraduate students are welcome to meet with an advisor by scheduling a personal consultation, emailing an advisor, or stopping by during our walk-in hours. Mandatory Advisement for New Students
To make sure that new students start off on the right track, all newly-admitted students to the College of Business and Economics are required to visit with an advisor before registering for their first semester courses. A registration hold is placed on their first semester's registration.
New First Time Freshman (FTF) are required to attend a New Student Orientation (NSO) to remove their registration hold and transition successfully into CSUF and the college.
- STEP 1 – Register for a NSO. You will automatically receive your mandatory advisement by participating in NSO. Learn more about New Student Orientation.
Transfer students are required to complete three steps upon admission to remove their registration hold and transition successfully into CSUF and the college.
- STEP 1 – Schedule an appointment with a business advisor no later than three weeks after your admission and prior to registration.
- STEP 2 – Fulfill your mandatory orientation. You have two options to fulfill your mandatory Orientation. You may attend an In-Person Transfer Student Orientation (TSO) or complete an Online Transfer Overview. Learn more about the Transfer Student Orientation.
- STEP 3 – Complete the college's Ethics Requirement. You must fulfill the college's ethics requirement before your first semester's registration. Learn more about the Ethics Requirement.
Ethics Requirement
One of the goals of the College of Business and Economics is to promote the development of ethically responsible students who will become future professionals in business, economics and other related fields. As responsible members of the college community, students are expected to adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and overall ethical conduct. To insure that all College of Busines and Economics college students are aware of these standards, the faculty of the college adopted a policy that mandates students fulfill the college Ethics requirement by acknowledging the Student Code of Ethics, become familiar with the policies and practices related to academic dishonesty and plagiarism, and demonstrate competency in these areas by passing the College Ethics Quiz.
If you are meeting with an advisor, you must first complete the Ethics Requirements.

TITAN Degree Audit (TDA)
The TITAN Degree Audit (TDA) is an important advising tool and resource for students at Cal State Fullerton. The TDA report includes your general education and major requirements as well as other unit and scholastic requirements. Career Path Advisors
The undergraduate Career Path Advisors in the College of Business and Economics are designated faculty who are available to answer the questions you have about each of our concentrations and how the concentration fits your professional interests. The college also offers a “Prepare to Declare” workshop each semester where you will hear from advisors and peers in each of the concentrations to assist you with choosing and declaring your concentration. Declaring a Concentration
Students in the College of Business and Economics first enter their major as prebusiness, pre-economics or pre-international majors, whether they are entering freshmen, transfers, or returning students. Before proceeding to Upper Division Concentration Courses, a student must declare a concentration. Once you have declared your concentration you will be assigned a "Faculty Mentor". Learn more here .

Articulation Agreements
