MSIT Concentration

The MSIT program has two concentrations that can be chosen from for your program. Each will be explained in more detail at the Boot Up Camp and any questions regarding your concentration can be directed to Dr. Pandya at [email protected]. All students start with the same courses in the first semester. Upon admission a concentration is chosen, any changes must be made no later than October 20th by contacting Alexandra Clark at [email protected].

Information Management concentration:

Articulate strategies and methods that allow for the effective management of information technology to support information systems within an organization. Identify the telecommunications infrastructure and components that are necessary to support organizational data communication requirements. Plan and conduct research on contemporary issues relating to information technology and information technology management.

Data Science concentration:  

Identify, design, and implement data storage mechanisms. Prepare, process, and integrate disparate data sets to perform data analytics using appropriate analytic methods to support decision-making. Plan and conduct research on contemporary issues relating to data science and analytics in the context of business.
