Scott Coler

Scott Coler

Scott Coler is President of the Southern California Division of Capital Pacific Homes, a ‘Builder 100’ Company. Following aposition as Project Manager at Costain Homes soon after college, he joined Capital Pacific Homes in 1991. Scott was part of the original management team that negotiated and acquired Capital Pacific Homes’ predecessor, the J.M. Peters Company, from the Resolution Trust Corporation, a federal institution that dealt with distressed real estate assets.

After holding various positions within Capital Pacific Homes, Scott became Division President of the Las Vegas division from 1997 to 1999.  He subsequently returned to lead the growth and expansion of the company’s Southern California operations, where he now oversees residential building production of approximately $200 million in annual revenues.  During his time at Capital Pacific Homes, Scott has overseen the construction of over 5,000 homes while focusing on operational efficiencies, quality awareness and best practices; emphasizing team building and employee development; employing knowledge and innovation with product development; and developing expertise in complex entitlements and land development.  The company is in the top percentile (No. 1 in fall 2006) in customer satisfaction from ‘Eliant’ Surveys, out of approximately 200 builder divisions.
Scott serves on the Executive Board of the region’s BIA chapter and its ensuing charitable and government affairs commitments, and is a California Licensed General Contractor and a California Licensed Real Estate Broker.

Scott has a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from California State University, Fullerton, and supports the  College of Business and Economics in many ways: sponsoring member of the College’s Executive Council and member of the Council’s advisory board; advisor to the Center for Real Estate; supporter of the College’s golf tournament scholarship fundraiser and the dean’s annual economic forecasts.  Scott is also a member of the Cornerstone Society supporting the Campaign for the College of Business and Economics.
