MBA Concentration Electives Procedures
Students admitted to the MBA program may choose from concentration areas to tailor their degree towards their professional, personal and educational goals.
Many MBA concentrations require faculty approval and signature. Concentration sheets should not be submitted to the Mihaylo Graduate Programs office without prior approval from the faculty concentration advisor, as they will not be accepted. Please adhere to the requirements on each concentration form.
Step 1: – When do I choose my concentration electives?
- Newly admitted students are required to submit a concentration approval form, in their first semester, by the following deadlines:
- Newly Admitted Fall students: Submit by October 1st
- Newly admitted Spring students: Submit by April 1st
- Concentration courses are offered less frequently than required courses. Picking your concentration elective courses within the first semester provides you with the opportunity to enroll in the courses as they are offered.
- Each department has a list of classes, course descriptions, and schedules online: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Information Systems & Decision Sciences, Management, Marketing.
Courses taken and completed prior to submitting the required form may not be used as part of your study plan.
Step 2 – What forms should I submit?
Download a concentration elective form and (Step 3) submit to faculty advisor for approval.
