TradingView Educational Program Gives Titan Business Students Free Access to the Latest Tech Tools

Posted March 18, 2025 by Daniel Coats

Thanks to the support and dedication of Finance Associate Professor Arsenio Staer, students in the FIN 340 – Introduction to Investments and FIN 370 – International Finance courses at Cal State Fullerton’s College of Business and Economics have access to the essential plan of TradingView, an artificial intelligence-infused platform used in today’s business world. This tool includes economic calendar, stock heatmaps, Pine Script language to code customized indicators and strategies, and exclusive market indicators.

Staer, who first led an agreement between the CSUF Department of Finance and Trading View, an investment and cryptocurrency platform, back in 2021, has acted as a liaison between faculty and TradingView in the hopes of getting the technology into classrooms. This initiative is emblematic of the college’s commitment to immersive and tech-focused curriculum, ensuring our graduates have the tools and experience needed to compete in a business world focused on trends such as cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence.

“Integrating TradingView into our finance curriculum provides students with advanced tools to visualize market trends, conduct technical and fundamental analysis, and evaluate investment decisions using simulated trading,” says Staer. “Real-time access to global market data allows students to connect theory with practice, strengthening their readiness for real-world finance.”

The collaboration was made possible through the support of Finance Department Chair Weili Lu, Associate Dean Jenny Zhang and Dean Sri Sundaram.
