Many students getting their online degree worry they will be less prioritized, have limited educational opportunities, or will not have access to the same resources as in-person students. While there are certainly differences between on-campus and online study, students in Cal State Fullerton’s Online B.A. in Business Administration program aren’t treated any differently than CSUF on-campus students. Here are just a few similarities between the Cal State Fullerton online and on-campus student experiences.
Building Student-to-Student Connections
On-campus CSUF business students have the opportunity to connect with each other during each class on campus by forming study groups and working on group projects. Students in the Online Business program study in cohorts, allowing them to progress through their classes together, collaborate on group projects, and utilize group-collaboration apps (such as Discord) to study together, fostering deeper connections and a collaborative environment.
Flexible Learning That Fits Your Schedule
On-campus CSUF business students typically have the time to attend courses at various times during the day and have the flexibility to choose from dozens of different class sections that fit their schedules. Similarly, by studying online and asynchronously, students in the Online Business program have their own level of flexibility. Instead of having to be in class on a specific day and time, Online Business students can study and complete assignments whenever and wherever is most convenient for them, as long as they meet the deadlines assigned by each professor. Please note that Online Business professors may schedule online exams on a specific day/time, so please pay close attention to each course syllabus,
College and Campus Support Resources
On-campus CSUF business students have access to a variety of university support offices—and, we’re happy to say, so do students in the Online Business program. For details, please see our Benefits of the CSUF Online B.A. in Business Administration Degree-Completion Program article.
Diplomas and Graduation
Perhaps most important, both on-campus CSUF business students and students in the Online Business program earn the same College of Business and Education diploma. There is no designation on the diploma indicating online study, nor does the official CSUF transcript indicate online study.
As you can see, the Online Business program team is committed to ensuring that all Online B.A. in Business Administration students have access to the same opportunities as on-campus students at Cal State Fullerton and in the College of Business and Economics.
