Sales Career Fair

The Sales Leadership Center’s Career Fair is the only career fair on the CSUF campus that is 100% focused on sales. Each semester, both fall and spring, the center invites over 30 companies to participate in the fair as part of a recruiting effort. The companies offer internships, part-time and full-time employment positions for students seeking sales careers. The unique aspect about the fair is that students have the opportunity to interact with the corporate sponsors at events prior to the Sales Career Fair (Sales Career Academy and Career Fair Prep). The students who have participated in the center's events are well prepared for this career fair- offering quality candidates to future and prospective employers. This workshop fulfills one of the requirements for the  Certificate of Professional Sales.

Sales Fundamentals Workshop

Having the ability to sell your thoughts, ideas, proposals and creativity is an essential life skill. This workshop introduces students to the world of sales by providing a thorough understanding of the sales process and the various strategies within. Students will review underlying communication skills, such as active listening and persuasion, which are transferable to any profession or career.  This workshop fulfills one of the requirements for the  Certificate of Professional Sales.

Sales Career Academy

Every fall semester, the Sales Leadership Center hosts the Sales Career Academy, a day of professional development. Students are able to network and socialize with the center's corporate sponsors in a comfortable, yet professional environment. The Sales Career Academy is designed to help students step out of their comfort zones and build their confidence. Key topics throughout the event include: learning how to answer behavioral interview questions; dinning etiquette; feedback from an employer's perspective; and advice from CSUF Sales Leadership Alumni.This workshop fulfills one of the requirements for the  Certificate of Professional Sales.

Build Your Career: Career Fair Preparation

The Career Fair Preparation workshop guides students on how to be prepared for the upcoming career fairs. This workshop also provides students with a better understanding of professional attire, such as clarifying the terms business casual and business professional. Discussion topics include: how to approach prospective employers, how to give out resumes, body language, virtual etiquette, etc.
