Geoff Payne
Geoffrey S. Payne is the President of Tahiti Partners Real Estate Development Corp. and principal and manager of numerous realestate partnerships. Geoff earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and practiced law for many years in Long Beach and Orange County, and was a partner at a well-known Orange County law firm. As a lawyer, he represented banks, lenders, real estate developers, family trusts and other real estate and corporate interests.
He left the practice of law in 1999 and began developing real estate projects on a full time basis. Recent projects between Geoff and Tahiti Partners include more than 100 homes in the Coachella Valley, California, commercial and residential lots, and commercial and apartment projects, all throughout Southern California. He also owns Payne/Roland & Company, a real estate brokerage in Long Beach, California, and is the broker of GJ Property Services, Inc., a commercial property management company doing business in Long Beach for more than 30 years.
Geoff earned his Bachelor of Arts in Finance from California State University, Fullerton. He serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board, and the Center for Real Estate Advisory Board for the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics. Geoff is also a member of the Cornerstone Society and long-time participant in the Dean’s Summer Golf Classic scholarship fundraiser.
Geoff lives in Long Beach; loves golf and tennis but rarely plays; and loves music. He has been active with many organizations in Long Beach, including the Long Beach Bar Association, and was a board member and two-term President of Cedar House, a center for abused children. Other charitable and non-profit boards of which he is currently a member include the Long Beach Grand Prix Foundation and the International City Theatre.
