ACCT 495 - Internship Course for Accounting Students

Synopsis

ACCT 495 consists of a supervised internship, designed to provide students with practical knowledge prior to graduation. It can be taken for a grade or on a credit/non-credit basis. Please review the ACCT 495 Information Card for more details.

  • When taken for a grade, this course satisfies the practicum requirement of the accounting concentration. Only freshmen and students transferring into CSUF in fall 2019 and thereafter are eligible for the graded internship.

  • When taken for credit/non-credit, this course can count towards the 120 units needed for graduation and towards the 150 units required for the CPA certification. It will not count towards major or concentration requirements.

  • Starting in fall 2020, graduate students in the MSA and MST program may also be eligible to enroll in ACCT 495. Graduate students must consult with their advisors to verify eligibility.

Prerequisites

Undergraduate students must have attained junior standing with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Please read the ACCT 495 Internship Guide (PDF) for additional prerequisites that must be met.
