As Chief Executive Officer/President of Schroeder Management Company, Ernest Schroeder is a Certified Property Manager with the Institute of Real Estate Management headquartered in Chicago, IL. Ernie began investing in and managing apartment buildings in 1969. He oversees the acquisitions, renovations and capital improvements for all Schroeder Management Company properties.

Ernie prides himself in being from a family of entrepreneurs. His grandfather was a rancher and wildcatter in Colorado in the early-to-mid 1900’s, and his father was a business owner in Los Angeles specializing in the sign industry. Ernie started his
own investment company in Fullerton and has since moved his corporate offices to Corona del Mar. Carrying on his family’s entrepreneurial tradition, his son Jeff founded his own wine business, The Wine Gallery, in Corona del Mar during his senior year in college through USC’s Entrepreneurial program. In addition, Ernie’s daughter Tracy started her own real estate design and consulting business after graduating from UCLA. She now divides her time between New York and California.

Ernie is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. Having met through the Cal State Fullerton Ski Club, Ernie
married his college sweetheart Donna Ferguson (1970 Cal State Fullerton alumna).

Ernie and Donna now live in Newport Coast, California.  They are founding members of the Collectors Circle of the California Art Club and active supporters of the Orange County United Way and the Pacific Symphony.  They enjoy traveling, collecting art, skiing and tennis.
