Pat Donahue

    Forum

Patrick S. Donahue serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Southern California-based Donahue Schriber, a fully integrated, privately held real estate investment trust (REIT) operating in the western United States. The firm owns and/or operates a $2 billion portfolio of 91 neighborhood, community, community lifestyle and power shopping centers, representing over 15 million square feet, including 18 development properties.

Since joining Donahue Schriber in 1979, Patrick has been engaged in almost all of the 30 million square feet of retail space in which the company has been involved. He has worked in every aspect of the business, including leasing, asset management, development and corporate strategy. Patrick has been instrumental in fostering key relationships and opportunities that paved the way through the company’s early days in regional mall development and management and parlaying the knowledge and disciplines obtained into becoming a recognized leader in the development, management and leasing of neighborhood, community, community lifestyle and power shopping centers. He previously served as Executive Vice President Operations and took on the role of President after the sudden death of his brother, Dan Donahue, in 2002. Patrick added the Chief Executive Officer role when Tom Schriber stepped back from his day-today duties in 2005.

Patrick is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton, with a concentration in Marketing. He currently serves as a Trustee for the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and is a frequent industry-wide speaker. He is actively involved with the Orange County United Way’s Keeping Kids on Track and the KidWorks Donahue Center in Santa Ana.

Patrick lives with his wife, Paula and three children in Irvine, California.
