An entrepreneur is an individual who is involved in the designing, launching, and/or managing of a new business. Entrepreneurs own majority share in an incorporated venture and often start out working in a small business. Entrepreneurs also play a key role in the growth of the economy by bringing forth innovative ideas. Key skills needed to be an entrepreneur include: initiative, risk-taking, communication, and excellent leadership skills. An entrepreneur must secure resources by making, maintaining, and leveraging contacts for short and long term mutual benefits. Each journey to entrepreneurship is unique, thus it is important for an aspiring entrepreneur to pave their own path to success.
