On Saturday, May 16, Cal State Fullerton’s College of Business and Economics launched a new tradition with its inaugural Graduate Programs Hooding Ceremony, honoring graduates from the MBA and specialized master’s programs for their academic and professional achievements.
The 250 graduates were hooded by CSUF faculty and posed for a photo opportunity with Dean Sri Sundaram. In addition to attendees, a live stream enabled family and friends from home to cheer on their loved ones virtually.
“Earning a master’s degree from the College of Business and Economics represents a significant personal and professional achievement,” explains Courtney Watts, Executive Director of Graduate and Non-Degree Programs. “We are honored to celebrate our graduates through the Graduate Programs Hooding Ceremony – an intimate and meaningful occasion where students can share this milestone with family, friends, and colleagues while recognizing the dedication and perseverance that brought them to this moment.”
Students heard from Victor Guerrero ’00, ’21, an MBA grad currently serving as president and chief operating officer of Infinity Bank as well as an honoree of Orange County Business Journal’s OC 500. The student commencement speaker was Nehemiah Obidah ’26, an author who has completed his MBA concentration in Business Analytics.
