Advancing Nonprofit Women Into Director and VP Roles. Jointly developed and run by Gianneschi Center and Women's Leadership Program.

Program Overview & Value

About the Program

This program is designed for nonprofit professionals who are ready to move beyond operational leadership and begin thinking and acting at a strategic level. It focuses on bridging the gap between mid-level management and executive leadership by building both people-management and organizational leadership capabilities.
Participants engage in a structured yet flexible learning experience that emphasizes practical application, allowing them to directly apply new knowledge to their current roles and organizational challenges.

Who This Program Is For

This program is ideal for women currently serving in mid-level nonprofit roles, including:

  • Managers
  • Program leads
  • Supervisors

Participants are individuals who are motivated to:

  • Strengthen their effectiveness in their current leadership roles
  • Build confidence in leading teams and making decisions
  • Prepare strategically for advancement into Director or VP-level positions

Talent Leadership

Develop the confidence and skills needed to effectively lead, support, and manage high-performing teams.
Key competencies include:

  • Designing effective hiring and onboarding processes
  • Conducting meaningful performance evaluations and delivering feedback
  • Communicating sensitive or difficult messages with professionalism
  • Managing and resolving workplace conflict effectively
  • Prioritizing tasks and managing time strategically

Strategic Leadership

Develop the ability to think beyond day-to-day operations and make decisions that drive long-term organizational impact.

  • Applying strategic problem-solving frameworks tailored to nonprofit organizations
