Welcome to the Marketing Minor Program, where opportunities abound! Marketing is at the vanguard of businesses, focusing on understanding customers, anticipating their needs, and crafting narratives that resonate with them.

Marketing is essential for startups, small businesses, multinational corporations, and nonprofit enterprises.


What will you learn? We offer a diverse curriculum to explore digital marketing, branding, consumer behavior, market research, and more. These courses offer essential insights into understanding consumers, trends, and success strategies, preparing you for organizations of all types. 


What are the course requirements? Course requirements include completing five courses: Principles of Marketing (M351) and four additional courses of your choice. No prerequisites are required. You can choose one of the specializations listed in the Marketing Minor Course Catalog Page or tailor your minor with any combination of electives such as Consumer Behavior, Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurial Marketing, and others. All choices will earn you the same valuable Marketing Minor certificate.

How to Declare the Marketing Minor? Follow these quick steps to get started

Step 1: Access the Change of Major/Minor Form

  • Visit the Records Form page and select “Change of Plan (Major/Minor)”.
  • Choose Undergraduate or Graduate, depending on your academic level.
  • Undergraduate students:
    • Review the "Change of Major/Minor Guide". 
    • Open the "Change Major/Minor Form" and sign in using your CSUF Portal credentials.

Step 2: Declare the Minor and Submit the Form

  • In the left-hand menu, click "(C) Minor".
  • Select “Declare a Minor” and choose Marketing Minor from the list.
  • From the left-hand menu, click Student Signature.
  • Check the box confirming the accuracy of your submission.
  • Click Submit to complete your declaration.
