Certificate in Personal Financial Planning Program Overview
The Financial Planning Roadmap (pdf) provides an overview of the required courses for the Professional Certificate in Personal Financial Planning Program, as well as semester planning so students may complete the sequence in four semesters (or about two years), if full-time status is maintained.
How to Enroll in the Program:
- Create a free account with the CFP Board: https://www.cfp.net/why-get-certified/for-students
- Complete the sign off sheet (PDF).
- Submit the completed sign off sheet to [email protected].
- To receive the Professional Certificate in Personal Financial Planning (PCPFP) in conjunction with a bachelor’s degree, students must also complete the Change of Plan (Major/Minor) form: https://registrar.fullerton.edu/
The purpose of the Professional Certificate in Personal Financial Planning Program Sign Off Sheet is for students to acknowledge that they understand that they must successfully complete the entire set of Professional Certificate in Personal Financial Planning Program courses to fulfill the education coursework requirement for CFP® certification, intend to pursue this professional certificate study plan, and understand that fulfillment of the education coursework requirement for CFP® certification does not guarantee that he/she will attain CFP® certification.
