CFA Scholarship Opportunities

If you are aspiring to Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) status, you can reduce the cost of registering for CFA examinations through scholarships awarded by the Department of Finance CFA Committee. Each academic year, the committee awards 16 scholarships to students planning to sit for the June or December CFA Level I examinations. These eliminate the cost of enrollment and registration and reduce the fee for study materials to $350 (a $1,050 savings).

The fees for the June 2019 exam are as follows:

  2. Submit the following information to Finance Lecturer Kelly Ko at [email protected]:

    • A brief essay discussing your present career and future aspirations, how the scholarship would complement these and how the CFA program will assist in achievement of career goals. The essay should be no longer than a single page.

    • A current résumé.

    • An unofficial university transcript.

    • A recommendation from a faculty member at Cal State Fullerton or another college or university. A brief email message from a faculty member stating their endorsement of you as a candidate for the scholarship can be provided in lieu of a formal letter of recommendation.
