How can residential real estate agents stay on top of the AI and digital trends that are transforming their industry? Cal State Fullerton’s inaugural Residential Real Estate Forum on Nov. 13 will help real estate professionals stay ahead by exploring the latest digital tools, legislative changes and industry strategies.

The event at Cal State Fullerton, which is expected to feature 120 to 150 professionals, academics and students, will be headlined by a talk by Chika Sunquist, commissioner of the California Department of Real Estate (DRE), who will examine licensing updates, enforcement and audit violations, new regulations and the state’s treasure trove of resources.

Other highlights will include a discussion by David Lucas, Mid-Atlantic director for eXp Realty, on changing consumer expectations due to AI and how to stay relevant. CSUF Business Dean Sri Sundaram will present awards to companies and individuals with a positive impact on the Orange County residential real estate sector.

This event brings together CSUF’s world-class researchers and professors, leading brokers and agents, and the next generation of real estate professionals to help shape how the industry adapts to AI, expanded public access to listings, and major shifts in agent compensation, so we continue to meet and exceed consumer expectations,” says Greg Herder, director of the Center for Real Estate, the college’s real estate-focused Center of Excellence.

The center oversees the college’s undergraduate real estate concentration and graduate-level coursework, all of which has a strong focus on preparing future real estate professionals with the industry credentials and skills to thrive. Continuing education for existing professionals, networking opportunities, training on the latest software such as ARGUS, and scholarships are among the other initiatives spearheaded by the center.
