Overview

Students looking to thrive in the growing field of cryptocurrency will find the perfect preparation in Titan Crypto. This cutting-edge, immersive certificate program at Cal State Fullerton focuses on the practical aspects of cryptocurrency and decentralized finance (DeFi). By successfully completing four courses covering the fundamentals of crypto, crypto creation, investments, and DeFi, students gain the skills they need to succeed.

Participants also gain hands-on experience by creating non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and memecoins tailored to their specific areas of interest, such as real estate or financial planning.

Certificate Program

Titan Crypto is a four-course certificate program. Students will successfully complete the following courses:

1. Fundamentals of Crypto - This course looks at the design of cryptos and how they function in practice. It focuses on cryptography, blockchain technology, crypto as currency and Defi.

2. Crypto Creation - Students create tokens, NFTs and meme coins. Students learn how to tokenize assets and NFTs for their specific area of finance, such as investments, real estate, insurance, financial planning and more. Students will own the tokens and NFTs they build. Titan Crypto will have support in launching their tokens, NFTs, and meme coins.

3. Decentralized Finance (DeFi) - This course provides an in-depth analysis of the principles, mechanisms, and implications of DeFi compared to centralized finance (CeFi). Students explore the historical development of financial systems, technological foundations, market structures, regulatory environments and economic impacts. Through lectures, readings, case studies and discussions, students develop a comprehensive understanding of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats associated with DeFi and CeFi.

4. Cryptocurrency Investments – This course will explore various types of crypto investments, including coins, tokens, NFTs, smart contracts, and the different themes for meme coins. In addition, students will learn different investment strategies, fundamental analysis, and technical analysis.
