"Salute to Business Leaders"

Cal State Fullerton’s College of Business and Economics saluted three business leaders for their achievements during a special program Feb. 20 that included the trio speaking before students and then being feted during a luncheon in their honor. Pictured are, from left, Scott T. O’Brien, a 1977 alumnus and products division president for Armor Holdings, a Jacksonville, Fla., manufacturer and provider of law enforcement equipment and specialized security products; fellow alumna Debra F. Luther, president of Exceptional Restaurant Co., which owns and operates 28 fast-food restaurants in Atlanta; and Frank P. Greinke, chair and CEO of SC Fuels, a group of petroleum distribution companies operating in 10 Western states.

Salute to Business Leaders

Laurie Resnick, president of Associated Group, a California landscape and display firm, Richard K. Davis, president and COO for U.S. Bancorp, and James D. Cole, CEO of Newpark Resources and CEO and chair of Newpark Environmental Water Solutions, share their experiences and were honored Feb. 28 during the annual "Salute to Business Leaders" day.

"We honor these individuals for their business accomplishments and achievements," said Anil Puri, dean of the College of Business and Economics, noting that the award represents the highest honor bestowed by the college. "This event is an excellent opportunity for the honorees to serve as important role models for our students and to keep in touch with the college. Our faculty and students benefit tremendously from staying connected with the business world and its most successful leaders."
