Kathy Brzovic joined the CSUF faculty in 1996 and, over the course of fifteen years, taught Business Writing, Advanced Business Communication, Management Communication, and a special block course sponsored by Target Corporation and the Colleges of Communications and of Business and Economics.
As Faculty Fellow for the Center for Internships and Community Engagement, she promoted community outreach projects in the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics, participated in The Engaged Department Institute for California State University Campuses, co-sponsored by the Chancellor's Office and Campus Compact, received the Outstanding Service-Learning Instructor award, taught at the Southeast Asian Service-Learning Institute in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, sponsored by USAID, wrote articles for the annual Community Engagement Report, and discussed How to Partner with CSUF at the Gianneschi Summer School for Nonprofits.
Publications include articles on learning communities, writing across the curriculum, and diagnostic and value-added assessment, all in Business Communication Quarterly. Other publications have appeared in Encyclopedia of Modern Drama, Ariadne Press, Oesterreich in Geschichte und Literatur mit Geographie, Carleton Germanic Papers, Modern Austrian Literature, Orbis Litterarum, Peter Lang, German Studies Review, and Monatshefte.
