How To Apply

The Business Honors Program is a comprehensive four-year academic experience designed primarily for first-time freshmen majoring in Business Administration. Limited spaces are available to sophomore and junior applicants within the College of Business and Economics. Acceptance is based upon meeting previous course requisites and a required GPA threshold.

ELIGIBILITY

Incoming freshmen must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.5 to be considered for the program. Incoming freshmen may apply online. Students must be in pursuit of the Business Administration degree. The Business Honors Program is not open to any other major, including International Business or Economics. Please reach out to the Program Counselor if you are unsure whether or not your intended major is eligible for our program.

Current sophomores and juniors joining the program must achieve a GPA of 3.25 (sophomores) or 3.5 (juniors) in their prior university coursework. Students must complete all required Business Honors core courses prior to the start of the fall semester. Please contact the Business Honors Program Counselor to determine eligibility to join. 

 HOW TO APPLY

All students apply online

  • Log in to your portal 
  • Apply through the “Honors and Scholars Programs” option and select “Business Honors”
  • This will take you to the Honors and Scholars Program application. Choose to apply for the Business Honors Program

APPLICANT CRITERIA

  • Must meet GPA threshold for eligibility

  • Demonstrate leadership, community involvement, and a sincere desire to enrich the educational experience.

  • Successfully complete a personal interview with Business Honors faculty and staff. (Applicants will be notified if chosen to interview.)

 APPLICATION CHECKLIST

  • Completed roadmap of core courses required for entry into the program (this is a requirement for non-first-year freshmen)

  • Two essays

  • College transcripts reflecting excellent academic performance
    (must be submitted to Admissions and Records with CSUF application if a freshman; not needed for current CSUF students)      

SELECTION PROCESS

Applicants are interviewed and accepted on a rolling basis or until all spaces are filled, whichever comes first. Please check your CSUF email for updates on your application from bha@fullerton.edu.

Successful applicants who meet all requirements, demonstrate academic excellence and leadership, and complete an interview will enter official evaluation and be notified by email of acceptance. Application processing times may vary but all qualifying applicants will be considered.
