Dr. Kenneth S. Kim is a lecturer in the department of economics at California State University, Fullerton. He received his undergraduate degree in Asian Studies from University of California, Santa Barbara, focusing on East Asia (Korea, Japan, China). Influenced by the 1997-98 Asian Financial Crisis, he decided to pursue his graduate studies in Exchange Rate Policy and Financial Crisis. He completed his master’s degree in economics from Cal State Fullerton, and his doctorate from the Claremont Graduate University, specializing in International Money and Finance.
Dr. Kim is currently a research associate of the Claremont Institute for Economic Policy Studies, located in Claremont, California, an internationally reputed institution for producing high-quality, policy-oriented research, fostering research on domestic and international economic policy issues while being a leader in promoting cooperative work between economists and political scientists. His current research areas and interests include Economic Development, Financial Crisis, Foreign Exchange Rate Policy, International Political Economy, New Institutional Economics, and Public Choice.
