Director's Message
...from the Hart…
What a Ride!
When was the last time you read an article, opened a newsletter, or had a conversation that didn't center around the "new normal", the "pandemic" or the topic of "what have you learned"?
Guilty as charged! I have led many Zoom workshops and conversations since March 2020 with these very words, and we all know the world will never be the same as it was in early 2020.
We know there has been tremendous loss, pain, suffering, death, and more division than ever before, but we also have seen growth, personal, family and professional development, massive amounts of service and selflessness, and have experienced things we never thought possible.
As we move into the era of "post-pandemic" (if that is such a thing), we are all doing business differently, moving forward cautiously, and wondering what the next week will look like as far as in-person events, masks, vaccines, and so much more. We have been working to create a calendar of events that are socially and physically responsible, and also educational and impactful for you, our family business partners.
There is still so much uncertainty over whether or not our events will be live or online, but we are preparing for both options. We would love to hear from you about your preference, and also about topics you would like us to present as we finish up 2021 and head into 2022! If you have any suggestions, ideas, concerns, or input about how we should proceed, please feel free to email me directly at edhart@fullerton.edu.
You can also call or text me on my cell phone at 714-458-3064.
Your input has always been critical to our success, but never more than now.
I cannot express my gratitide for you all enough, and your support through the past couple of years has been tremendous. I hope we have supported you well, and plan to do everything possible to be there for you and your family business for years to come.
From the depths of my heart,
Ed Hart
