The Department hosts the Case Competition every year where teams comprised of both undergraduate and graduate students compete for scholarships. Each team will present their case for approximately 15 minutes and engage in Q&A with the judging panel made up of "Big 4" accounting firm representatives and CSUF faculty for approximately 5 minutes. Applicants should be comfortable speaking professionally in front of the judges.
HOW TO APPLY: Form a team, then download the application. Each member on a team must submit an individual application. Submit all componants of the application to the Accounting Department electronically via email: accountingdept@fullerton.edu

Eligibility Requirements

Students are to form teams on their own with a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 members. Please include the names of all team members on the application. Applicants who are not on a team will be matched with one by the Department.

The competition is NOT open to the following students:
- a. Freshmen
- b. Sophomores who have not finished ACCT 201A (Financial Accounting)
- c. Students graduating in Fall 2019

The team cannot completely be made up of graduate students of seniors. The recommended composition of teams for the competition should be: 1-2 sophomores or juniors, 1-2 seniors, 1-2 graduate students.

We will select teams for the final competition based on the teams' written response to case questions. You are expected to show critical thinking.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place team winners will be announced soon after the presentation on November 8, 2019 in SGMH-2211, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Financial Executives International Scholarship (FEI)
The Orange County Chapter of Financial Executives International will award a $2,000 scholarship for a full time student pursuing a Graduate degree in accounting. In addition to the cash award, each stuent will receive:
- A one-year electronic subsctiption to FERF research publications;
- Complimentary access to the on-demand Leadership Master Class (NEW this year!);
- A digital subscription to FEI daily; and
- A Certificate of academic excellence from FEI's president and CEO, Andrej Suskavcevic.
If selected, you MUST be present at the Student's Night reception to collect your award in person. The reception will be held at the Pacific Club in Newport Beach on Wednesday, May 08, 2019

Department Scholarship Awards
Several scholarships are made available each spring semester through the Department of Accounting by sponsors representing firms, organizations, individuals, the Accounting Advisory Association, and the department itself. Award Recipients are recognized with a plaque at the Awards Banquet that takes place at the end of each spring semester.

Eligibility Requirements

Undergraduate Students: You must be a declared Accounting student (not pre-business), completed at least 75 units (of which 15 were earned at CSU, Fullerton) with an Overall and Accounting GPA of 3.0 or better, and completed ACCT 301A and at least 3 units of any other 300 or 400 level Accounting course.

Graduate Students: You must be a Mihaylo College classified graduate student enrolled in the MSA program, MST program or MBA-Accounting Concentration program. If you are required to take prerequisite courses, you must have completed ACCT 301A and at least 3 units of any other 300 or 400 level Accounting course.

A new application must be submitted each semester.

Previous awardees may apply for a scholarship.

All applications MUST be accompanied by a copy of your current student transcript (an unofficial transcript is acceptable) and a current resume.

Award recipients MUST be present at the Accounting Awards Banquet, which will be held on May 02, 2019.
CalCPA OC/LB Chapter Scholarships
The Orange County and Long Beach Chapter of the California Society of CPAs is proud to announce its Scholarship Award Program. Scholarships will be awarded to students with interest in pursuing professional careers in the accounting field.
Criteria

Excellent communication skills and leadership ability

Interest in pursuing a career in accounting in our region

Grade point average of 3.0 or higher

U.S. citizen or legal resident of the United States
