Titan Capital Management (TCM)
The mission of Titan Capital Management (TCM) is to provide students with the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned in the classroom to manage investment portfolios in ‘real time’. Student teams will spend 12 months managing either a stock (equity) or bond (fixed income) portfolio funded by the CSUF Philanthropic Foundation with support from generous donations of CSUF alumni. Each portfolio is overseen by highly qualified faculty and advisory boards drawn from local investment practitioners.
Class size is small, with each program (Equity and Bond) is limited to 21 students each. Over two semesters plus the summer ‘boot camps’, members of each team take on the roles of portfolio manager, economist, and financial analyst. All team members contribute to the analysis and investment decisions associated with each role
Upon completion of the Titan Capital Management program, participants have firsthand knowledge of the pitfalls of the financial markets and are ready for careers in investment management or financial analysis.
