College of Business and Economics Mandatory Ethics Requirement Banner

College of Business and Economics Mandatory Ethics Requirement

One of the goals of the College of Business and Economics (CBE) is to promote the development of ethically responsible students who will become future professionals in business, economics and other related fields. As responsible members of the CBE community, students are expected to adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and overall ethical conduct. To ensure that all CBE students are aware of these standards, the faculty adopted a policy that mandates students fulfill the college Ethics requirement by acknowledging the CBE Student Code of Ethics, become familiar with the policies and practices related to academic dishonesty and plagiarism, and demonstrate competency in these areas by passing the CBE Ethics Quiz.

Undergraduate Students

Starting summer 2021 and beyond the Ethics requirement will be part of the BUAD301 Business Communication course and students will complete the ethics requirement in the course. Students who completed BUAD301 prior to Summer 2021and have a hold on their record for the Ethics Requirement will be asked to complete the Ethics Quiz through the Business Advising Center “Business Ethics” course in canvas.

Instructions

For undergraduate students the college Ethics requirement consists of a short module that will take you through learning items, videos, and a handout. It will culminate in a short quiz which you must pass with 80%. After you pass the quiz, make sure to print out the first page of the results and keep it for your personal records. The results page should include your score and CWID. To have your hold removed email your results with your score and CWID to businessadvising@fullerton.edu.

NOTE: Only undergraduate students who have an ethics hold or have been directed by a Business Advisor will take the ethics quiz through the Business Ethics module in canvas.
