Being the first business organization on campus, the AMA continuously endeavors to set standards for other business organizations to follow.
Currently, the AMA provides its members with a variety of events and services.
- Speaker meetings with various organizations and professionals

- Professional Dinner Mixers
- Networking opportunities with the Orange County Professional AMA Chapter
- Social events with other students and AMA members
- Fundraising events to support the organization
- Committee participation and leadership opportunities within the executive board
- Networking with Alumni and Graduates
The AMA strives for diversity and attempts to offer you an assortment of marketing topics through its various events. This past academic year of 2003, speaker meetings and company tours were hosted by professionals from Dieste Harmel, Oakley, Disney Consumer Products, and the Pepsi Bottling Group.
As the organization continues to grow and move into the future, the executive board attempts to implement new ideas for improvement. We have recently restructured ourselves into eleven, one-semester executive board positions focusing on organizational growth and ease of transition. These eleven positions include:
- President
- Vice President
- Business Interclub Council Rep
- VP of PR / Ch. Historian & VP of Membership
- Director of Communications / Website Design
- VP of Advertising
- Director of Fundraising
- VP of Finance
- Corporate Relations Director
- Social Events Director
- Community Services Director
These changes occurred to ensure an enhanced structure and planning processes. We encourage you to take an active role in our club and join one of our executive teams. Your involvement will provide you with invaluable opportunities to work in a team setting while meeting organizational goals.
The Spring 2004 Executive Board is goal-orientated, self-directed, and firmly structured. Each officer is expected to plan each event or activity he or she is responsible for.
During Spring 2004, we plan to focus on providing you with AMAzing activities and events, company tours, social outings, and networking opportunities to jumpstart your marketing career. General meetings for Executive Board members will be held every Thursday at 4pm. Announcements for all events will be posted around campus and via e-mail from our Director of Communications. See our website for more information.
