MBA Program Information

Major highlights of new curriculum

  • A move to a general MBA program which allows for more flexibility and customization.
  • Three units will be required in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing and ISDS, reduced from six credits prior.
  • Advanced seminars eliminated to provide students with more elective options enabling the greater depth of students’ degree.
  • Shorter foundation/seminar core to make classes more accessible and allow students to graduate sooner.
  • Overall reduction in total units required for the degree (previously 33-60 units, new program will be 33-45 units).
  • Students may waive up to 12 units (four classes) with equivalent coursework completed in their undergraduate degree.

Elective Courses
(12 Units 400/500 level: Minimum of 6 units at the 500 Level)

Student may take four advisor approved elective courses.

Additional Requirements
Students, within their first year of study, must demonstrate proficiency in calculus, software applications, and statistics. The courses below or equivalent coursework must be completed with grades of at least a "C" (2.0).

  • Math 135 Business Calculus (3 units)


  • ISDS265 Intro to Information Systems & Applications (3 units)


  • ISDS361A or ISDS513 Statistical Analysis (3 units)

Writing Requirement
Students, who score below 50% on the verbal or analytical writing areas of the GMAT will need to complete a writing requirement in their first semester in the program.
