The capstone course, ACCT 597, is a project-based course. All MS Accountancy and MS Taxation candidates must participate in this course. To ensure all graduating students are able to enroll in this course the following procedures must be followed:

  • ACCT 597 requires authorization prior to enrolling in the course.

    • Students must find a faculty advisor to oversee their final project.
    • Each student’s faculty supervisor must provide the Department of Accounting with written consent of their supervision approval. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that their faculty supervisor provides this information to the department office.


  • Registration
    To register for this course students must contact the department office to obtain a permit to register.


  • ACCT 597 is not open to students on academic probation
