Biography
Greg
Herder is a CRB and owner of MegaAgent Realty. He is an
elected Director of the Orange County Association of
Realtors who is active member of the MLS committee. Greg
is also co owner of JDG investments a real estate
investment company, as well as Co-founder and CEO of
Hobbs/Herder Training and Hobbs/Herder Advertising. Greg
Herder is recognized as the real estate industry’s
foremost authority on residential real estate marketing
and agent productivity training.
Herder is a featured columnist on real estate
marketing and training issues for Realty Times, New
Jersey Realtor Magazine, Savvy Executive Profiles, and
Real Estate Executive Magazine, as well as writing
regular articles for a variety of other industry
publications, including Realtor® Magazine and
Canadian Real Estate. He also authored the
innovative how-to book "Satisfaction Guaranteed - 100%
Satisfaction Guaranteed or Your Money Back," which
ushered this unique concept into the world of real
estate service.
Herder is also known for his dynamic speaking style
and the impact on productivity of his Mega-Marketing,
The Gateway and Mega-Managing seminars and other
programs on the subject of cutting-edge real estate
marketing and productivity. Herder also serves as a
trusted consultant to many of the industry’s top agents
and companies. Blending humor, practical advice and
solid expertise, Herder’s unique ability to educate
brokers and agents on how advertising theory can be
applied to create winning marketing campaigns is
extraordinary.
Many including Realtor® Magazine credit Herder
and his partner, Don Hobbs as being the pioneers of
personal marketing as applied to the real estate
industry. Herder joined forces with Hobbs in 1986 and
started their own agency. Today Hobbs/Herder has grown
into two distinct entities: Hobbs/Herder Advertising,
the nation’s largest full-service advertising agency
dedicated to creating marketing materials for real
estate professionals, from custom personal brochures to
dynamic direct mail materials to print ads; and
Hobbs/Herder Training, a renowned training and
educational firm, speaking to thousands of real estate
professionals across North America every year through
energetic, innovative seminars.
Herder has had an incredibly positive impact on tens
of thousands of real estate careers over the years.
Indeed, he has personally consulted with and designed
the marketing/advertising campaigns of many top agents
in the nation, including Ralph Roberts, and others such
as Phil Herman, Terry Moerler, and Terry Paranych. As
passionate as ever about this mission, Herder speaks to
tens of thousands of agents annually, sharing his ideas
about how to use personal brochures and direct mail, as
well as the Internet, television advertising and many
other lead-generating systems and techniques. Greg has
conducted over 1500 one, two or three day seminars over
the past 17 years for the real estate industry and is a
professional member of the National Speakers Association
(NSA).
Greg graduated cum laude from California State
University (CSUF) with a BA in psychology and will
graduate with his MBA from the University of California
Irvine in June of 2005.
