Lessons Learned From the Field:
Institutional Barriers to Remediation and Retention
In this workshop we will share our experiences breaking down institutional, disciplinary, and idiosyncratic barriers to Writing Across the Curriculum in the College of Business and Economics at CSU, Fullerton. We’ll recommend how to implement a program to coordinate activities at all levels--the college, department, writing centers—and among all interested parties—the faculty and support staff.
This session will interest deans, chairs, writing center coordinators, and faculty planning on promoting student writing to meet new accreditation standards.
