Apply to be a Leadership Scholar!

Calling all undergrads! Want a chance to hobnob with executives? Want to shadow executives to see what their lives are like? Apply to the Leadership Scholars Program.

How to apply: Click here to download an application. Please fill out and email back to Leadership@fullerton.edu. Application forms are also available at CSUF Mihaylo’s Center for Leadership (Room 5357). Students must have a minimum 2.5 GPA at the time of application in the program.

Who: Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors are eligible. Recently graduated alumni may also apply.

Where: Most events will be in Mihaylo Hall but some events and activities will be elsewhere in Orange County.

Why:
-To meet and learn from executives in Orange County and beyond
-To develop leadership skills
-To heighten your leadership awareness
-To attend leadership training
-To attend leadership executive keynotes
-To demonstrate to future employers that you are committed to leadership development

Participating companies may include Disneyland, Disney Studios, Mighty Ducks, Experian, Edwards Lifesciences, Allergan, St. Jude's Medical Center, Pacific Life, Oakley, United Parcel Service, AMN Healthcare, Emulex, Resources Global Professionals and others.

All active scholars will be profiled on the Center for Leadership website with name, hometown, and major. All graduates of the program will have a permanent presence as alumni of the Leadership Scholars Program and a permanent affiliation with the Center for Leadership.

How it will work:
-Scholars must attend several events (guest speakers, special topic forums, social events) per semester.
-Scholars (in their senior year) will shadow an executive (16-20 hours) and will give a professional presentation to other Center for Leadership faculty and scholars.
-Scholars will be required to take at least one leadership course as part of their academic curriculum (e.g. MGMT 443 Team Leadership Skills). An updated list of recommended courses will be on file at the Center for Leadership.
-Graduating seniors must attend at least 3 events during the graduating semester. Other undergraduates must attend 2 or more events per semester. Alumni must attend 6 events in one calendar year.
