History
This multi-dimensional initiative
was created by the Mihaylo College
of Business and Economics in 1998,
under the direction of Dean Anil
Puri. Operating strategies are
developed for executives and faculty
from abroad with the help of local
academic and industry professionals.
Program Goal
The primary goal is to create
programs that attract executives and
faculty members from abroad and to
assist them in facing the challenges
of adapting to expanding global
business and academic environments.
Examples
The Center for International
Business has hosted executives and
faculty members for periods of six
to thirteen months:
- 13-months MBA program,
designed for Business Executives
from the Liaoning Provincial
Government, China
- Senior Management in
Government Program, designed for
Senior Managers from the Shaanxi
Provincial Government, China
- 6-months Executive
Management Program for Ever
Bright Securities, China
- 6-months Faculty Development
Program for faculty members from
the Tianjin University of
Finance and Economics, China
The Center has also conducted
shorter workshops and training
sessions on the following topics:
- Senior Leadership in
the 21st Century, developed for
a delegation of executives in
the pharmaceutical industry from
Shanghai
- Human Resources Management,
developed for a delegation of
government officials from
Shanghai
- E-Commerce, developed for a
delegation of executives from
