FAMILY BUSINESS BEST PRACTICES INITIATIVE
|
Is your business a family business? If so, we cordially invite you to join and benefit from FBBP, our Family Business Best Practices initiative at California State University Fullerton. The initiative is led by CSUF’s Family Business Council and Small Business Institute. The Council and the Institute are two of the Centers of Excellence at CSUF’s College of Business and Economics. They have 45 years combined experience advancing Orange County free enterprise. The FBBP initiative has three phases that will benefit you: (1) Administration of confidential surveys and interviews that will identify current challenges and best practices for family businesses in Orange County, (2) Free copies of research results to family businesses that participate, and (3) Workshops and forums that will help you to convert research results into practical solutions for your family business. Phase one of the FBBP is now underway. We invite you to participate in an important survey that will help us gain a better understanding of the factors that influence the survival of family businesses. One of the primary reasons contributing to the demise of family businesses is the lack of interest on the part of successive generations. With this study, we seek to understand why some successors remain engaged in the family business while others do not. If you choose to participate, we will provide you with a survey package and ask you and your family members to complete a series of established questions. This should take approximately 10-15 minutes for each respondent. We respect your privacy, and assure you that all individual information collected through this survey will remain confidential. You will receive a free copy of the survey results. The results of this survey will be discussed in a family business workshop offered at CSUF. |
