
Wayne Pinnell has approximately 19 years of experience in public accounting, including over 10 years at national accounting and consulting firm BDO Seidman, LLP. Mr. Pinnell began his career as an intern in BDO’s New York City office and started full-time in Los Angeles. After 2-1/2 years in Los Angeles, Mr. Pinnell transferred to a new BDO practice office in Orange County where he was instrumental in training the personnel from an acquired practice.
Over his career, Mr. Pinnell has assisted several companies with their initial public offerings and has participated in the filing of numerous follow-on registration statements. Mr. Pinnell’s experience has included working with companies ranging from start-up entrepreneurial concerns to public and private companies with revenues ranging to in excess of $300 million. Throughout his tenure in audit, Mr. Pinnell has provided constructive financial and operational advice to dozens of companies.
Mr. Pinnell has authored a number of articles that have appeared in regional and internet-based publications. His topics have benchmarking, mergers & acquisition, and preparing for initial public offerings, among others.
Mr. Pinnell is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also involved in several professional and community organizations including the AeA (formerly the American Electronics Association), where he is the Chair of the Medical Technology Forum; The Orange County Sheriff’s Advisory Council, and the Orange Coast Venture Group.
Mr. Pinnell has been a member of the Accounting Advisory Association at California State University, Fullerton for approximately 15 years, has served as the president for two years and continues to serve as the executive vice president. Mr. Pinnell is also a member of the part-time faculty in the Department of Accounting at CSUF.
Mr. Pinnell serves as a trustee for SeaRidge Community Church, participates in a number of youth programs including Cub Scouts/Boy Scouts of America and AYSO, and is a member of the Professional Services Reserve of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Mr. Pinnell graduated with honors from the Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ with a BSBA degree in Accounting.
