In 2003, the
Mihaylo College of Business and Economics created a
new education and training program on the current financial reporting issues
facing corporations and their auditors.
CONFERENCES ON CORPORATE REPORTING & GOVERNANCE
Each year, the Center holds SEC Financial Reporting
conferences which bring to California State University, Fullerton nationally
recognized individuals and experts in the areas of corporate reporting and
governance.
ACADEMIC RESEARCH & PROFESSIONAL WORKSHOPS
The Center hosts workshops featuring financial reporting trends, results of research studies, and topics of interest to academics and professionals.
INVESTOR EDUCATION & CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION COURSES
In cooperation with the California Education Foundation and the California Society of CPAs-OC/LB chapter, the Center organizes events granting CPE credit to accountants in Southern California. The Center also organizes courses to enhance financial literacy of investors.
US GAAP/SOX TRAINING SEMINARS FOR CORPORATE EXECUTIVES & BOARDS
Corporate executives, audit committees, and Boards of Directors attend training seminars on legal and regulatory initiatives and issues relating to integrity and quality of financial statements.
The center offers training on US GAAP Issues and Sarbanes-Oxley. The center

PUBLICATIONS
The center disseminates information on
current financial reporting issues, interpretations of financial rules, and
research results of studies sponsored or conducted by the Center.
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO REGIONAL FIRMS AND BUSINESSES
The Center’s databases, computer facilities, and staff serve as a resource for regional firms.
The Center
