To receive CPE credit for the webinars, you must register prior to the start of each program and login no later than the scheduled start time for the event. You must also answer the polling questions that will be asked throughout the presentation.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Attendee cancellations made 1 week or more prior to webinars are eligible for a full refund. No refunds will be given less than 7 days prior to a webinar. However, you may transfer your registration to another webcast within the same semester of the original webcast without penalty or to the same webcast the following semester if it is not offered again during the semester of your cancellation.

New estate and gift tax legislation becomes effective in 2013.  This is a “must-take” course as there has been a lot of confusion in this area. Topics discussed will include changes in the law and how clients should adjust their estate tax plans.  There will also be discussion regarding the impact of the DOMA decision on same-sex couples and their estate tax planning.



Ethics and Professional Conduct for California CPAs

In the aftermath of accounting scandals, there are new rules on ethics and professional conduct that CPAs must comply with. This course explains the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct as well as the professional ethics and independence rules of the SEC and GAO. It challenges participants to make ethical decisions while remaining compliant with the regulations and to identify the consequences of violating ethical standards.
