Ralph Grippo
President, Irvine Company Resort Properties
Ralph Grippo is President, Resort Properties, Irvine Company, joining joined the Irvine Company in 2007. He oversees all operational aspects of the Irvine Company’s growing portfolio of resort holdings. These include Pelican Hill®, with two 18-hole golf courses; the Island Hotel Newport Beach®, the Hyatt Regency Irvine; Oak Creek Golf Club® in Irvine; and approximately 500 boat slips at five marinas. Grippo has worked in the luxury resort industry for more than two decades, including 17 years with The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company. Prior to joining the Irvine Company, he was Ritz-Carlton’s vice president and area general manager for China, responsible for seven luxury hotels and as general manager of the company’s China flagship, The Portman Ritz-Carlton in Shanghai. In addition to this post, he has vast experience in his 25 years in hospitality, holding senior management positions in various locations worldwide. Grippo has a Bachelor of Science degree in hotel and restaurant management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
