Dear Friends,
The Center for Insurance Studies (CIS) is proud to announce
that we will be co-hosting an
Insurance Day
event, with the Gamma Iota Sigma and Finance Association
student clubs.
The event will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 from
10am – 7pm.
This occasion will help prepare our business students with
the tools for a bright future in the insurance industry.
CIS would like to promote the Actuarial, Risk
Management and Insurance/Financial Services programs to the
business students who have not yet decided on a career path,
as well as to update other business students on what jobs
are available to them in the industry.
At this time, I would like to invite our industry friends to
come and participate with us for the day.
If you would like to volunteer your time as a guest
speaker at one of the day’s two symposiums, please let me
know and you will be added to the panel list. If your
company would like to purchase a table for the Insurance Day
event, your HR Representative may contact our Program
Coordinator, Kathi Wilson, at 657-278-2045 or
kawilson@fullerton.edu.
Since Insurance Day
will be an all day event for students and industry
participants, food will be provided after the panel
discussions for lunch and dinner.
There will be tables set up in the courtyard for
companies that would like to participate.
There are three package options for the display
tables:
1.
Insurance Day Platinum package – $500. Adopt a 6’ banquet
table for the entire day.
This will be a high profile table by the entrance
doors to the main building. There will be four chairs with
each table. The company will have up to 4 representatives at
the table all day to meet and greet students, present their
company materials and answer questions.
2.
Insurance Day Gold package – ½ table, $250. These are shared
6’ banquet tables with 2 chairs provided for each company
for the day. Each company will have 1-2 representatives at
the table for the day to meet and greet students, present
their company materials and answer questions.
3.
Insurance Day Silver package – ½ tables for ½ a day, $125.
These shared 6’ banquet tables will be available for
companies that would prefer to be on campus for half a day
(shifts: 10am-2:30pm or 2:30pm – 7pm). There will be 2
chairs provided for each company. Each company will have 1-2
representatives at the table to meet and greet students,
present their company materials and answer questions.
The funds generated by this event will be used for to a
Gamma Iota Sigma Executive Scholarship and the balance will
go to the sponsoring student clubs. We hope that you and
your company will be able to attend the first annual
Insurance Day event, and we look forward to hearing from
you. We expect this to be an exciting event.
