Advancement in Assessment Award
The Business Communication Program in the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics was selected as the 2010 recipient of the Advancement in Assessment Award (AAA). The award panel was particularly impressed with how the program uses evidence of student learning in making program change and improvement. The award was presented to the Business Communication Program at the annual institute on program performance review on October 22, 2010 at the Fullerton Marriott. The overarching theme of this year’s institute is Using Assessment for Program Improvement. Linda Fraser, Ph.D. and Teeanna Rizkallah, Ph.D. presented to the institute and accepted the award.
Coursework is Community Service Work
Over the last few semesters, more than 70 students in Breta Hedges’ Business Communication courses have volunteered at least 15 hours each at sites that are partnered with Cal State Fullerton, including Second Harvest Food Bank, Fullerton Collaborative, Muckenthaler Cultural Center, Fullerton Fire Department, Village of Hope, Anaheim Family YMCA and the Irvine Chamber of Commerce. read more...
