Step 1B - MS in Taxation (Irvine)
1st Time Advising Session
Newly Admitted Students in your first semester:
Once you have reviewed your digital welcome packet and your individualized study plan included in your Mihaylo Google Drive and gone through the "New Admit Checklist" in your Graduate Student Handbook you are required to schedule a personal consultation with the New Admit Advisor within 14 business days of receiving your admission letter.
The New Admit Advisor is available by appointment only and can be reached by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or you can schedule a personal consultation with your advisor in the online calendar found through the "contact us" tab.
After your initial meeting we have found that most questions can be answered by email or over the phone. However, if you prefer to meet with an advisor, for additional evaluations or more complex question, please schedule a personal consultation.
The Mihaylo Graduate Digital Welcome Packet
For all newly admitted students starting Fall 2013 the Graduate Programs Office has uploaded your individualized Digital Welcome Packet to Google Drive in your CSU email account. Within the digital welcome packet you will find your individualized advising worksheet, recommendation for enrollment, and important information to allow for a smooth transition into graduate school. We are providing you with an instructional power point to assist you with accessing your digital welcome packet.
Current students in your second semester or beyond:
Questions during your second semester or beyond are addressed through our Graduate Advisor, Carlos Franco | (657)278-2546. We have found that most questions can be answered by email. However, if you prefer to meet with an advisor you can schedule a personal consultation in our online appointment calendar found through the "contact us" tab.
Online Appointment Calendar
The appointment calendar is online and appointments may not be scheduled more than 7 business days in advance. When scheduling an appointment keep in mind that two weeks prior, the week of, and the week after registration and the first week of school are the busiest time for the Advising Center and the entire campus. To allow the advising center to accommodate most requests it is recommended that appointments considered an emergency only be scheduled during these time periods.
