Dr. Ellen Dumond is a professor of management at the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics, of California State University, Fullerton, where she teaches courses in operations management. She holds an MBA and a PhD (in Operations & Systems Management) from Indiana University, as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Purchasing/Materials Management from Arizona State University.
From 2005 – 2011, Dr. Dumond was Chair of the Management Department at CSUF. She has served on several university committees, as a faculty Senator, and is currently chair of the Extended Education committee. Before coming to CSUF, Dr. Dumond taught at Miami University and Indiana University, and worked in materials management for several years in divisions of McGraw-Edison Corporation. Dr. Dumond’s research has focused quality management, scheduling, and materials management. She has published articles in various journals, as well given presentations at many association meetings. She has remained active in industry, obtaining a lifetime Certification in Purchasing Management (CPM) and performing consulting in quality, scheduling, and organizational systems.
