ACG Cup Competition
The ACG Cup is an annual case study competition designed to give top students from leading MBA programs real world experience and invaluable insight into mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, financial advisory and private equity. Each case study provides students from across the country with a unique opportunity to present valuation, capital market and M&A strategic advice to a panel of seasoned M&A professionals from within the ACG community.
The competition is carried out through a series of intra-school and regional competitions, with regional winners awarded the prestigious ACG Cup title and cash awards in January/February. In 2010 all teams competed for a $10,000 first prize. For more details click here.

They work to bring opportunities not only to develop job search strategy and skills, but also to increase access to local and national employers. Find Your Focus Online Videos
As a student in the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics’ MBA program, you have the opportunity to specialize your course of study and select a Concentration. For some of you, this decision is one you have already made, while others of you may be wondering which Concentration is best for you. To assist you in making an informed Concentration selection, the office of Graduate Programs at the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics has created video's to "FIND YOUR FOCUS"
The 15 minute videos consist of online modules for you to view. The videos cover our eleven Concentrations: Accounting, Business Intelligence, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Information Systems, International Business, Management, Management Science, Marketing and Risk Management & Insurance.
During each 15 minute video, you will get a chance to listen to brief presentations conducted by an esteemed faculty member from each department. The videos are located in STEP 12 of your Graduate Student Handbook below each concentration approval form.
Mihaylo Graduate Programs Graduation and Awards Reception
Graduation from a Master’s program is an important accomplishment in your life. It marks the completion of a challenging task and a new chapter in your life. The Office of Graduate Programs, annually in May, host the MCBE Graduate Programs Graduation and Awards Ceremony: Vegas Style. We celebrate our students success together, along with the Award of Excellence winners, your fellow graduates, students in the graduate programs, faculty, and administration.
Students who graduate with 3.85 GPA or higher are awarded the "Award of Academic Excellence" and receive a certificate and medallion.

Mihaylo Graduate Programs Academic Support Services offers multiple online chats throughout the year. The online chats discuss topics that are crucial to your success. Graduate Women in Business National Conferences – Founded in 1999 as the first and only company devoted to a comprehensive array of recruitment services for women. Women For Hire offers signature career expos, inspirational speeches, motivating seminars, a popular career-focused magazine and customized marketing programs.
The goal of the Hawaii International Conference on Business is to provide an opportunity for academicians and professionals from various business related fields from all over the world to come together and learn from each other.
The National Association of Women MBAs is dedicated to promoting women in business and increasing the opportunities for women MBAs. Every year the association supports an annual national conference hosted by a different graduate business school. This annual educational networking event also includes a career fair with top level companies from around the country that are actively seeking to hire women MBAs.
The National Black MBA Association, Inc. (NBMBAA) is an organization that sponsors the largest world class MBA career fair in North America. All MBAs of any background are welcome to attend this event. This fair attracts over 300 top employers who are strictly recruiting MBA students. The National Black MBA Conference is also an excellent opportunity to start building connections with companies that will recruit later in the academic year.
The National Congress of American Indians, founded in 1944, is the oldest, largest and most representative American Indian and Alaska Native organization serving the broad interests of tribal governments and communities.
The National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) exists to foster Hispanic leadership through graduate management education and professional development. NSHMBA organizes the second largest world class MBA career fair in North America. This event is open to MBA students of all backgrounds.
The Orange County Business Council (OCBC) represents and promotes the business community, working with government and academia, to enhance Orange County’s economic development and prosperity in order to preserve a high quality of life.
The Reaching Out MBA conference is the annual conference of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) graduate business school students. Reaching Out is committed to helping prospective, current, and former LGBT MBA students, employers and corporate executives, with a collective goal of increasing the visibility and awareness of LGBT professionals at school and in the workplace.
TED is a small nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Along with two annual conferences — the TED Conference in Long Beach and Palm Springs each spring, and the TEDGlobal Conference in Oxford UK each summer — TED includes the award-winning TEDTalks video site, the Open Translation Project and Open TV Project, the inspiring TED Fellows and TEDx programs, and the annual TED Prize.
