The Real Estate & Land Use Institute (RELUI)
is the 23-campus California State University System's applied research and
professional education center for real estate and urban land use. The California
State University, Fullerton (CSUF) branch of RELUI was established in 1996
in the College of Business and Economics
(CBE).
The goals
of the Real Estate & Land Institute (RELUI) are to promote real estate
education and to move the frontier of knowledge in real estate related fields.
Currently, ten faculty
members in the Department
of Finance are involved in either the teaching or research on real estate
related subjects. Our faculty members have published numerous articles in
prestigious academic and professional real estate and finance journals. They
also write books and teaching cases on real estate subjects.
As a service to the academic community, The Real
Estate & Land Use Institute (RELUI) also serves as the host for two
society journals: Journal of
Real Estate Research (the society journal of the American Real Estate
Society) and International Review
of Real Estate (the society journal of the Asian Real Estate Society).
The Real Estate & Land Use Institute (RELUI) offers
a real
estate program designed for students who are principally interested in
careers in the real estate industry. The program covers general and specialized
real estate knowledge that is applicable to professional areas such as real
estate finance and investment, brokerage, market analysis, and appraisal as well
as being pertinent to the acquisition, development, management, and disposition
of real property. With a comprehensive course-offering
schedule, our program is probably one of the largest programs in
California.

Professor LaCour-Little and a group of CSUF students
attended a Development Trends and Networking Conference: “Charting a Course for
the Turnaround” on April 18, 2008
The Real Estate & Land Use Institute (RELUI) also
provides
scholarships
for real estate students and helps organize activities related to Real
Estate Students Association and Real Estate Alumni Association. For more
