Joe Formichelli

Joe Formichelli is responsible for maximizing Gateway's operational excellence and efficiency by leading the company's manufacturing, quality assurance, engineering, logistics, supply chain and product management.

A technology industry veteran, Formichelli brings more than 30 years of experience to Gateway.  He most recently served as a senior partner at Core Strategies responsible for the general management of the firm.

During his career, Formichelli served as IBM Corporation's vice president of worldwide systems operations, general manager of the ThinkPad brand, and vice president/general manager of the PC company's operations.  Formichelli also was executive vice president of Toshiba's Computer Systems Group, and president/chief operating officer of Clearcube Corporation, as Austin, Texas start-up.

A native of Hudson, N.Y., Formichelli received an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He and his family reside in Laguna Niguel, California.
