K.R. Subramanyam (PhD, Wisconsin) is Associate Professor of Accounting and Leventhal Fellow at the Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California. Professor Subramanyam is a specialist in valuation and financial statement analysis. His research interests broadly include financial markets and valuation, financial accounting, earnings management and empirical auditing. He has published several papers in leading journals such as The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy and Journal of Business Finance and Accounting.

Professor Subramanyam’s research has been at the cutting edge of knowledge creation and has influenced policy debates. His research has been cited in The Wall Street Journal, The Wall Street Journal Europe, Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe, Sydney Morning Herald, Atlanta Constitution, Business Week, Barrons, Reuters and Bloomberg among others. In addition his research has been cited in congressional hearings. Professor Subramanyam teaches the popular MBA elective on Financial Statement Analysis and is a co-author of the best selling textbook, Financial Statement Analysis by Wild, Subramanyam and Halsey, 8th edition (Mc Graw-Hill/Irwin).
