John is currently the Managing Partner of the Orange County office of Ernst & Young. He has over 35 years of financial, accounting, and operations experience. John began his career in the Buffalo office in 1977 and served in the audit practice. He was promoted to Partner in 1988.
From 1993 – 1998, John served in the National office where he was responsible for global audit education. In 1998, John transferred to San Diego and was the Pacific South West area leader of the Retail, Distribution and Manufacturing practice. In October 2000, he was named the Managing Partner of the San Diego office and in July 2008 the Managing Partner of Orange County. John was elected to the Ernst & Young Americas Partners Advisory Council (EY Board) in 2006 and was its Chairman in 2007 and 2008. In 2008 – 2011, John was a member of the EY Global Partners Advisory Council.
John is a member of the UCI Chief Executive Roundtable, the Advisory Board for the UCI Center for Global Leadership and The Paul Merage School of Business Dean’s Advisory Board. He is a member of the California State Fullerton School of Business Dean’s Advisory Board. He is also a member of the OCTANe Board, the Board of the California Chamber of Commerce and President of The Pacific Club. John graduated from John Carroll University with a BSBA degree, majoring in accounting. He is a member of the AICPA and a CPA is New York, Ohio and California.
The Center for Corporate Reporting & Governance at California State University, Fullerton is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
